Welcome to esoHub.org

esoHub.org is a collaborative platform to support studies on total minimally invasive transthoracic esophagectomy (ttMIE).

esoHub.org evolved from an earlier multicenter study including more than 1000 patients after ttMIE (Schmidt et al. Ann Surg 2017).

esoHub.org is currently supporting the preSponge RCTan international trial focusing on the effect of preemptive endoluminal vacuum drainage on outcomes in high-risk patients undergoing total minimally invasive Ivor Lewis esophagectomy:

Data are collected via a secure and encrypted online platform provided by the University Hospital of Zurich, Switzerland. We use a data entry management system to meet international standards for online databases including fully anonymized data. No data will be reported with patient or hospital identifiers.
